Building great products and teams is something Dushyant Acharya has been passionate about in his eighteen months as a Senior Manager in Engineering at Ripple. The path to the Internet of Value is not linear, but Dushyant is walking with dedication and enthusiasm.
“I love everyone I work with, especially my team,” says Dushyant. “They make me wake up in the morning and get excited about my work.”
Dushyant is drawn to endeavors that have a lasting impact on others, from his engineering teams – Engineering Productivity and Development Operations – to people around the world who are influenced by Ripple’s products.
While engineers don’t always have a chance to see the real-life effects of what they’ve built, he and many other Ripple employees who have a similar immigrant background and have sent money overseas can see firsthand how Ripple is in great pain alleviates points in cross-border payment transactions.
“We’re building a product that actually makes this easier, from days to hours to minutes to seconds,” explains Dushyant. “And I think that’s the incredible impact we can have on people’s lives.”
Earlier this year, Dushyant took on the key role of supporting the company’s Employee Resource Group (ERG) Asian at Ripple as Global Lead. Since assuming this position, Dushyant has not only been able to provide meaningful support to Ripple’s Asian employees on a global level, but has also brought all Ripplers together to celebrate the diverse legacy within the organization.
Dushyant also brings thoughtful insights into tackling potential challenges for young professionals, pointing out that career retrospect and the courage to stay honest are essential drivers of both personal and professional growth.
